Very much looking forward to filming for the HOWL project led by Jamie Holman for the Lancashire Encounter Festival. Here’s a bit of prep for the people we’ll be working with. It’s as simple as I’ll just lead you through 10 sounds.
Here is the sequence of 10 howl sounds we will do all together! If you turn on subtitles you can follow them with the demo video below. Don’t worry about right or wrong in this — and it’s about you doing your own version of this.
It goes: 1 HOOOOW — sliding down (loud)
2 HOW HOW HOW HOOOOOW 3 short and a long(loud)
3 HUH short (quiet)
4 HUH OH short and long(quiet)
5 OH sliding down (loud)
6 OH gentle up and down (very quiet)
7 AH long (loud)
8 AH sliding down (loud)
9 AH sliding down and shake(very loud)
10) HOOOOW sliding down (getting quieter)
